ACCOUNTABILITIES
Embedded within the business with a direct reporting line to the Business Analyst, the cost controller is responsible for delivering cost transparency and value to the business by promoting the principles of good cost control practice.
ACTIVITIES
HSE
Knowledge of Company HSE policy, rules and procedures
Participation to HSE activities and global improvement initiatives
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist the Business Analyst to prepare annual budget for the departments he’s in charge of, in close collaboration with the Managers of these departments – Assist the business Analyst during the Budget session presentations to Management
Prepares revised forecast information based on latest headcount, vendor terms & conditions, work scope, etc
Month-end closure & Reporting
Prepares all necessary SAP entries and documentation for the closure including receipts, scheduled and manual accruals and cost allocations to ensure accurate statements.
Liaise with the P2P and Contract and Procurement teams for invoice and contract related queries
Support the Business Analyst to prepare monthly cost report providing input to variance analysis and movements
Support the Business Analyst in delivering cost KPIs
Support the Business Analyst to ensure costs control measures are maintained to monitor, review, and analyse projects from inception till completion
Compliance
Assist the Business Analyst to maintain up-to-date analytical structures in line with agreed Cost Control principles
Manage projects creation and close out in SAP
Promote a good P2P practice throughout the organisation promoting no invoices received without PO and all approval of invoices in compliance with DOA
Comply with provisions of contracts, JVA and Delegation of Authority
Prepare cost monitoring for entities under direct responsibility
Support the Business Analyst to contributes to responses to audit queries and to resolution of
audit exceptions
Other
Assist the Business Analyst to Ensure constant interface with manager/team in assisting and acting as primary focus for cost estimation, tracking and analysis
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3-4 years Finance / Cost Control experience. Experience in a JV environment would be a plus.
Degree level preferred in accounting, Finance or other business related discipline
Good eye for details
Good systems knowledge, especially SAP FI/CO, BW and Excel
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
