Qualifications:
- Possess a valid pool lifeguard certificate
- Possess a valid certificate in pool rescue
- Good communicative skills in English
- Knowledge of how to handle the crowd in the events of disturbance or accidents which may result in panic- type situation
- Knowledge of giving first aid and CPR
Main Purpose of job:
- To remain at the pool area at all times during his / her duty hours and look after the safety of the pool users (children and adults).
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the club aquatic facilities.
- To check all swimming pool assets and report any missing or damaged to the club reception and Club Supervisor when needed.
- To ensure that all cleaning equipment are kept neat and tidy.
- To daily check all underwater lights, pool tiles and report their status to the club Supervisor in case any maintenance is required.
- Responsible for arranging the sun loungers, mattresses, chairs, tables, dustbin, and umbrellas at the pool sides on daily basis.
- Responsible for collecting pool used towels during his duty, delivering them to the club reception and handing them over to the laundry attendant using the necessary process.
- To coordinate with both the club reception and Club Supervisor when maintenance is needed and inform them when supplies are low.
- To inform the Club Supervisor of developments in the assigned tasks and to ensure that all the jobs are carried out to the approved highest standards.
- To be fully aware of all club’s general procedures and the rules of each individual club facility including the registration forms and other formats which have been set for the smooth operation of the club.
- To keep himself / herself aware about the club activities and be able to answer any guests’ inquiries more accurately and positively.
- Responsible for maintaining club policies and procedure and assume responsibility for smooth running of the swimming pools.
- To ensure that all members / guests respect the opening and closing hours of the swimming pool / Jacuzzi and other club facilities.
- To immediately report any unusual behavior in the assigned area to Club Supervisor or Club Manager.
- To make sure that the assigned zone is clear of guests before closing time as well as to ensure that all equipment is fully returned to the lifeguard station.
- To immediately hand over any lost and found item to the reception for documentation with all relevant information according to hotel policies and procedures.
- To report and record rescues and other incidents.
- To attend to member / guests special request, comments and complaints, instantly recording and forwarding them to the Club Manager’s attention.
- To relieve or over your colleague’s duties when required by the supervisor.
- To report to work in a clean uniform and neat appearance in accordance with the Hotel standard.
- To attend any department meeting when required.
- To attend any training sessions when required.
- To establish and maintain effective employee relations.
