The Instrument Precom Lead Engineer is responsible for the following tasks:

Preparation and issuance of operational tests and pre-start-up procedures.

Supervision of day-to-day execution of instrument Precom activities.

Ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently in a competent manner, with adherence to the Permit to Work System.

Organization and direction of the Pre-Comm & Comm I&C Supervisors and Technicians in daily Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.

Compilation of punch lists in collaboration with the Construction Contractor and Company.

Ensuring the maintenance and review of required as-built drawings, as per project procedures.

Conducting inspections, surveys, and checks to ensure I&C equipment installation and testing

comply with Project Specifications, including all ATEX certified equipment.

Ensuring the safety and security of all activities and workers under their control.

Possessing at least 10 years of experience in a similar position.

Providing evidence of formal Instrument & Control Engineering education.

Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Having experience with multicultural project teams.

Possessing at least 5 years of experience in the Pre-Comm & Commissioning of Offshore Gas Production facilities.

Having experience in Pre-Comm & Comm and Start-Up of instrumentation & control field devices, instrumentation certified ATEX

equipment, RTU/SCADA & PLC’s, Smart Instrumentation/HART protocol, and Fire & Gas detectors. This includes performing activities such as loop checking and stroking of valves, including vendor-supplied loops via vendor control systems, calibration and alignment of Fire & Gas field detectors, commissioning Fire & Gas detection systems, and commissioning PLC-based systems and hydraulic control panels, including cause & effect testing.

Possessing experience and familiarity with ATEX certification, and holding a valid certificate of training on ATEX certified equipment, preferably.

Develop and execute electrical precommissioning plans, specifically focusing on substation and motor solo run tests.

Coordinate with project managers to align precommissioning activities with overall project timelines.

Lead a team of electrical precommissioning technicians and engineers.

Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of precommissioning tasks.

Develop detailed test procedures for substation equipment and motor solo run tests.

Ensure that procedures comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical precommissioning, with a focus on substations and motor solo run tests.

LV/MV systems, GIS, and transformer installation and testing.

Develop and execute precommissioning plans specifically for transformers.

Conduct precommissioning tests on transformers to ensure proper functionality.
