Position Summery:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll play a vital part in the sales efforts for our cutting-edge solutions and services across the MENA region, with a strong focus on Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt markets. You'll be instrumental in driving sales growth in the Public Safety (Critical Communications), Cellular, and Rail/Tunneling sectors. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and training, executing impactful sales calls, and offering on-site assistance to clients. You'll collaborate closely with our Global Sales Team, engineering, and operations to achieve our sales objectives and foster positive change. This is a hands-on role with direct client interaction and exciting growth opportunities!
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Prepare and present proposals, system diagrams and quotations to customers
- Determine the market potential and conduct a product application assessment of our current solutions
- Determine government and other regulatory requirements and secure specifications
- Maintain a complete file on competitor information to include the latest product specifications and pricing. Updating will occur at least Bi-yearly.
- Troubleshoot HW and SW in RF Repeaters on site, including fibre optic installations
- Perform commissioning and optimization of PBE Axell Repeater RF Coverage Solutions
- Prepare Technical Bulletins and educate/train the customers and end users
- Accurate and timely planning and specification interpretation, and technical support
- Communicate with customers, engineering, repair/service, and operations to facilitate problem resolution
- Offer prompt resolutions to customer concerns through resourceful problem-solving or the establishment of effective resolution procedures.
Education/Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in RF (strongly preferred), Telecommunication, Electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience within the Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), TETRA and LTE communication systems.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in GCC market. 3 years or more experience as a Technical Sales Engineer.
Capabilities/Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to comprehend and lead technical discussions
- Sales / technical experience with an Integrator/EPC/ End-user
- Must be inquisitive and willing to investigate and learn about new equipment and systems
- Essential experience and expertise in RF and Mobile Wireless Communications, including GSM-R/GSM/UMTS/Tetra Technologies.
- Experience in configuring software-based Network Management systems
- Hands on experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of RF equipment
- Solid presentation skills for both on-site and boardroom settings
- Fluent in English (both written and oral); Arabic language skills will be an added advantage.
- Must be able to work on his/her own, as well as in a team environment.
- Capability to undertake 50% travel.
- Perform on-site activities
- The candidate must be based in either in Qatar or UAE
- The candidate should possess a valid GCC Driving License
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
