Summary:
The Group Account Director for Sports and Entertainment will be a pivotal leader within our organization, overseeing and driving the strategic direction for high-profile sporting events and entertainment initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment landscape, coupled with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, client relationships, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Sports and Entertainment division.
- Drive growth initiatives and identify new business opportunities within the sector.
Client Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, meeting project objectives, and exceeding expectations.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale sporting events and entertainment projects.
- Coordinate with various departments including marketing, operations, finance, and logistics to ensure seamless execution.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of account managers, coordinators, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting innovation, creativity, and excellence.
Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for the Sports and Entertainment division.
- Ensure profitability by monitoring costs, revenues, and overall financial health of projects.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's interests.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, contractual obligations, and ethical standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with sponsors, vendors, media partners, and other key stakeholders to maximize opportunities and achieve objectives.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance visibility and network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in sports or entertainment industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, managing large-scale projects, and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills with the ability to engage, influence, and negotiate effectively.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools/software.
