Job Title: Inventory Manager

JOB PURPOSE:


As the Inventory Manager, you will oversee our company’s inventory levels and lead a team of inventory or warehouse employees. Your responsibilities will include managing the reception and documentation of new stocks, overseeing shipments, and evaluating supplies from various sources. You will develop strategies for inventory management across different brands and categories, ensuring efficient stock levels and system tracking.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Document daily deliveries and shipments to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.

Inventory & Stores Risk Analysis:

  • Conduct daily analysis to identify and mitigate potential inventory problems.
  • Order supplies proactively to manage efficiencies and prevent excessive surplus.
  • Assess levels of raw materials and supplies to pinpoint shortages.
  • Utilize data analytics to predict future inventory needs.
  • Maintain and analyze records related to brand/category inventory history, budget, current levels, and item movement.
  • Manage logistics of items across various locations and parties.

Team Management:

  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Recruit and train new inventory team members.

Conducting Testing Activities:

  • Generate reports on damage, item movement, stock levels, and inventory & warehouse costs periodically.
  • Implement barcode settings for new inventory items.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong expertise in data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
