Position Overview:
We are looking for motivated Procurement Engineers to join our Energy and Utilities procurement team. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for supporting the procurement activities for Gas Processing Plants, Gas Pipelines, and Compressor Stations projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a keen understanding of procurement processes within the Oil & Gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors and suppliers for project needs.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, optimizing pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate the timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the procurement process.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong technical background, with knowledge of Gas Processing Plants, Gas Pipelines, and Compressor Stations operations.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and tools, including RFQ/RFP generation, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and procurement software platforms.
