ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Ensures timely and adequate closing of books of accounts and brings efficiency to the highest standards; - SAP focal point and key user for General Accounting team.

- To provide support to Lead, General Accounting in delivering accurate and timely closure of books of accounts.

- Backup for Lead, General Accounting and Fixed Asset Accountant.

ACTIVITIES

HSE

· Knowledge and observance of Company HSE policy, rules, and procedures.

· Participations to HSE activities and global improvement.

Period End related tasks

· General Accounting representative in the Period End Closure team and SAP Super User of the team.

· Liaise with Financial Planning to team ensure final numbers match and reconcile.

· Lead the task of preparing reliable and timely accounting information including Annual Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Statements for issue to local publication.

· Provide relevant analysis for accounting aggregate and indicators such as Working Capital Variation, Depreciation, Inventory, provisions etc.

· Assist Lead, General Accounting with the task of ensuring timely and well documented reconciliation of account balances namely Accruals, Down Payments, Assets, Payables, Receivables, Inventory etc.

· Responsible for the preparation of monthly reporting deliverables for contribution to the Month End Reporting Pack.

· Responsible to provide input to Financial Planning to develop the Month End Reporting Pack.

· Responsible for the preparation of Quarterly Reporting pack to QatarEnergy.

Master Data Related Tasks

· Responsible and main focal point for the Cost Object (Work Breakdown Structure elements, Cost elements, General Ledger accounts, Cost Centers, Internal orders and related) creation and maintenance in the Company in line with the policies and procedures of the Company.

·Liaise with Cost Control team to ensure the Master Data created is appropriate and suits business needs in line with the policies and procedures of the Company.

Asset Related Tasks

· Liase and coordinate with the Fixed Assets Accountant in terms of the tasks related to the establishment of Asset Register, maintenance and passing of necessary entries related to Asset Retirement Obligations, Decommissioning obligations, all Closure related tasks etc. in absence of Fixed Assets Accountant.

· Back up of Fixed Assets Accountant in terms of all Fixed assets related tasks.

Audit

· Focal point within the General Accounting team for liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure an efficient execution of their work in coordination with Compliance team.

SAP related tasks

· Focal point within General Accounting to lease with SAP Super User and SAP Support Team for any SAP related enhancement.

Internal Control

· Responsible for the compliance in relevant areas (Period Closure, Reconciliations etc.)

Miscellaneous

· Any other tasks as requested by Lead General Accounting.

· Back up of Lead General Accounting in related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience/Knowledge/Technical skills

· Excellent organizing abilities, great attention to detail, good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen

· Flexible and pro-active

· Team player and good interpersonal skills

· Analytical approach and proactive attitude, rigorous accuracy

· Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (IFRS in particular) · Very good knowledge of accounting principles and methodology's and able to apply them

· Proficient in tools like SAP/ Excel/PowerPoint

· A minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience in a similar field, in Oil & Gas.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications

· Professional Accounting Certificate (ACCA, ACMA, CA, CPA, CMA)

· Graduation

· Fluent in English.
