JOB SUMMARY:
The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electro-mechanical contracting services related to construction and industrial projects. The role involves coordination, planning, and execution of MEP activities to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive MEP project plans, considering client requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of MEP activities with overall project timelines.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and ensure effective communication within the department.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all MEP installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for MEP projects.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP operations.
- Address client concerns, provide updates on project progress, and ensure client satisfaction.
Resource Allocation:
- Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements.
- Identify resource needs and work with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Develop and enforce strict health and safety protocols for all MEP activities.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify and address challenges that may arise during MEP operations.
- Implement effective solutions to resolve issues and minimize project disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Proven experience in MEP project management within the construction and industrial sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Professional engineering license is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
- Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in MEP.
