Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Design:
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop electrical engineering designs, specifications, and plans.
  • Participate in project planning, ensuring that electrical systems meet project requirements, codes, and OEM and end user standards.
  • Engineering Analysis:
  • Conduct engineering analysis and calculations to ensure the feasibility, reliability, and safety of electrical systems.
  • Perform load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies.
  • Equipment Selection and Specification:
  • Select and specify electrical equipment based on project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Prepare equipment datasheets and technical bid evaluations.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and select vendors for electrical components and equipment.
  • Review vendor submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Installation and Commissioning:
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on electrical installations.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration of electrical systems with overall project design.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
  • Documentation:
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records as per the approved MDRs/ VDRLs.Responsibilities:

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • Revit MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
  • ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program)
  • SKM PowerTools:
  • Dialux or AGi32
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • PLC Programming Software
  • Power System Simulation Software
  • CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor)
  • Microsoft Visio
  • ERP and Project Management Tools
  • Collaboration Tools (e.g., BIM 360, SharePoint)
  • Experience:

Previous experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on EPC projects, preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas EPC projects.

Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in electrical design software.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing technical challenges.
