Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and end to end inventory records (quotation, posting, goods movement, issuance).
- Assists workshop in selecting required parts in friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Follow up with workshop for parts requirements, open orders, consumables, and any local parts required.
- Provide parts quotation to workshop under given DBM/SAO within sam day without failure.
- Interact with multiple suppliers and play a vital role in procuring parts from local and international supplier various department or external suppliers.
- Notifies parts manager of out of stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Ensure that stores issued parts/goods to workshop as per DMB generated by workshop and ensure receiving by workshop supervisors.
- Monitor and track back-ordered parts, following up with suppliers / inventory and update workshop to ensure intime repairs.
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Local parts sourcing, must be aware of market / vendors.
- Prepare a list of vendors and register with company for credit facility to reduce cash purchases. Coordinate with admin for credit facility from suppliers where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all documents relevant to parts issued.
- Manage & control local purchases, inventory, ageing of parts & components being purchased against demand raised by workshop.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the parts catalogue and reference materials.
- Utilize computerized inventory systems to locate and retrieve parts from designated storage areas.
- Follow parts cannibalization process with approval from Parts Manager & General Manager.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with other duties within the Parts Department as needed, including assisting customers at the parts counter, or providing support during busy periods.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure efficient and timely delivery of parts.
- Support the Parts Manager in maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and exploring new sourcing options.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customer with parts inquiries, orders, and recommendations.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with SAP is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree holder
- Minimum 3-5 year relevant experience to heavy equipment/Agriculture and construction machinery
- Proficient MS Office Applications and preferred with SAP background and knowledge of electronic catalogues
