Network Administrator (ICT stream)
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical role, works in a team, manages and configures network, ensuring availability, performance and security..
- Role’s functional area: Network / Telecommunications Administration
- Brands/Clients associated and Industry dynamics: Standardize Policies/procedure. Price negotiation with vendor's sales & marketing person.
- Nature of internal and external interactions: Working in IT team and support the user across the group for all network related issues
- Physical or non-physical working conditions (e.g. physically demanding, etc.): ABA ITD Data center / Group Data Centers/Network locations
- Structured or Non-structured environment: Works within specifically defined guidelines and procedures, and set conditions
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
- Selects and installs bridges, routers, switches, hubs and related equipment that support various networking protocols, and assists in installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system software.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems; monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges; monitors data to optimize network performance; and resolves critical network failures.
- Develops and implements network support and operational procedures; maintains existing LAN, internet.
- Provide vendor management for all network equipment related vendors.
- Assist with providing Security related technologies for disaster recovery and high availability and ensure they are properly used and tested according to business requirements
- Take swift actions on SOC and NOC tickets and resolve the network issues.
- Defending systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction
- Scanning and assessing network for vulnerabilities. Monitoring network traffic for unusual activity, Training fellow employees in security awareness and procedures
- Developing and updating business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
- Maintains asset inventory configuration items. Incident and problem handling
- Review Performance, Availability & Capacity of network
- Shall be responsible and be compliant with ABA IT Division's security policies and procedures
- Shall be responsible for the protection of ABA IT Division's information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction and/or interference thereby ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information
- Shall be responsible for reporting any security events, potential incidents and/or other threats
Education | Skills | Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in IT
- Professional certification in networks such as CCNA and CCNP
- 4 Years in networks
- Fluent in English
- Communication
- Knowledge in networks
- Administration & trouble shooting
