Job Description
Job Overview:
The Senior Structural Engineer performs and / or supervise the engineering design and analysis to support the transportation and installation of offshore structures including design of installation aids. They also perform structural installation and other related engineering.
Senior Structural Engineer liaise with Field / Operation Engineers and other discipline engineers, drafting and admin staff to ensure efficient functioning of the department and stay abreast of latest developments in the offshore construction industry and apply latest techniques to enhance the expertise and capabilities within the department
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review clients technical documentation and requirements
- Prepare the design basis conforming to recommended specifications
- Perform / verify all calculations required to ensure safe and efficient transportation & installation of offshore associated structure.
- Review and act upon the comments of the Client / Certifying body
- Liaise with drafting to ensure issue of drawings as per the schedule and complying with design
- Contribute to software evaluation and development
- Assist the Lead / Section leader for solving technical problems
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- BS in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 Years in Offshore Engineering
