Role Summary

The incumbent will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, which will include deployment of international best practice communications across the the Group in its international footprint. The incumbent will own the brand strategy and lead cross-functional relationships with organization stakeholders to operate as the first line to manage marketing briefs, understand product, brand, customers and industry, to develop focused marketing communication programs for QNB Group. This is will operate from a centralized hub for domestic and international markets in the delivery of best in class brand marketing communications to support QNB business strategy and commercial objectives. This will include the development and execution communications across multiple channels on the international stage. The incumbent will direct, implement, monitor and evaluate marketing communications strategy and tactics, including advertising campaigns, branding, merchandising product promotion and regulatory matters.

As a senior executive in the MARCOM function, he/she will act as the focal point between the Communication division and the rest of the Bank and channel the requests internally to the specialized divisions within GCD. The role requires a proven strategic thinker who can clearly articulate insights into effective communications plans, strategies and creative solutions to position and differentiate QNB.

Role Description

  • Work as a close partner with business heads and oversee the development of annual strategic communications plans, specifically designed to support business goals, promote capabilities, and influence domestic and international target audiences.
  • Forge strategic partnership with business heads and international to increase the quality and intensity of the communications support for key growth and business initiatives.
  • Collaboration and communication with other departments , BU’s and subsidiaries within the organization to align and coordinate efforts that deliver one brand and one experience through aligned communications.
  • Develop communication strategies that incorporate a variety communication channels(such as print ads, TV commercials, and social media posts) to deliver 360 communications campaigns and omni channel optimization
  • Analysing market research and market data and assessing market conditions to optimize the best brand positioning and supporting marketing communications strategy
  • Determine the insights to support the development of go to market and action plans domestically and internationally to support the Groups vision
  • Design, commission, lead the qualitative and quantitative research process as required
  • Conduct research and developing communications strategies to increase brand awareness , brand analytics and communications campaigns performance to improve public perception of the QNB brand at a Group level

Qualifications

  • Bachelors level in marketing communications and business and experienced in both B2B and B2B in international markets with best practice marketing techniques
  • Minimum 10 years of international experience at a Group level in a multi-disciplinary strategic marketing function across product, segment, marketing communications, brand management, and strategic planning
  • Strategy and Marketing Communications lead experience in either or both agency or client side with international experience in MEA and beyond -
  • 10+ years’ experience in brand strategy, marketing communications, advertising, or related field
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand and communications campaigns that deliver to commercial goals
  • Proven and demonstrable creative thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills in marketing communications
  • High levels of strategic planning and prioritization capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Agency management experience across Brand Consultancies, Communications and Research agencies with international scope to a proven high standard
  • Comfortable at Executive and C Suite level in explaining, guiding and recommending the optimum marketing communications strategies approach to brand building
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Knowledge of standards and best practices for online media.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting and research skills.
  • Strong skills for networking and relationship building.
  • Experience enabling strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Resilient, with the ability to work to deadlines and maintain high levels of professionalism under pressure.
