About the Role


As Senior Manager Cabin Services Training, you will manage, develop and facilitate comprehensive Cabin Crew training strategies and programs to support corporate goals and meet global standards. In this role, you will manage resources in terms of time, product and people in order to deliver world-class training programs for a multicultural workforce. You will provide strong leadership and innovative training strategies to ensure that Qatar Airways Cabin Crew retains its leading position in Skytrax ranking and continue to be recognized as the world’s best Cabin Crew.


You will lead the Cabin Services Training team to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement in training materials, documentation and equipment while aligning all learning and development initiatives with national and international regulations and standards, as well as best training practices. You will ensure that consistency in training delivery is maintained across Cabin Services Training instructors, facilitators and trainers.


You will analyze the overall learning and development strategy in order to translate this into an effective human resource development plan. You will propose, recommend and implement Cabin Crew trainings and programs to meet the highest global standards.


You will liaise with all relevant departments to ensure that appropriate training needs/requirements are highlighted and relevant documentation, policies and procedures are implemented. You will lead the development of appropriate learning solutions including alternatives to traditional classroom training for both soft skills and technical requirements.


You will prepare budgets and business cases, monitor annual costs associated with the training unit and propose cost effective methods and solutions.



About You


The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education or a related field and 10 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in a senior management level role of at least 5 to 7 years.
  • Proven track record in implementing training strategies and program.
  • Awareness of Professional programs in Strategic Sales, Airline Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations System and In-flight service is an added advantage.
  • Has led a large multi-cultural training / Human Resource Development department in an airline or high tier service related industry.
  • Broad knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum design best practice and learning methodologies.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards outstanding results, and the ability to work effectively with diverse clients at all levels in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate requirements into practical, scalable solutions is required.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to deliver verbal and non-verbal messages professionally and clearly.
