Job Title: Power BI Expert / Data Analyst
Job Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights.
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and reconciliation.
- Power BI Development:
- Design and build robust data models using Power BI to meet business requirements.
- Create complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas for advanced data calculations.
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure seamless integration and data availability.
- Data Management & Governance:
- Implement best practices for data management, governance, and quality assurance.
- Ensure data security and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Monitor data performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis and Power BI.
- Provide training and support to team members on Power BI tools and techniques.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum [5] years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in querying relational databases.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in DAX and M (Power Query) language.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality management.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
- Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
