Job Title: Decoration Supervisor

Job Summary: The primary function of a Salesperson is to support Sales Management by maintaining the Sales and Decoration Standards as per the Sales Manual and the Common Sense Guide to Handmade Stores. It is crucial to understand that Sales and Decoration are equally important in promoting Sales growth. So, you need to work together, help one another and play your part in order for us to be One big, happy family. Because, when people are happy in their jobs, they provide a much higher degree of Service to their customers. Happy team members result in happy customers. Happy customers do more business with us and become brand advocates. Therefore, part of your role is to promote and maintain the Brand Image of THE One through Sales, Decoration, Core Values and Local Volunteering Initiatives. Remember, the Better we do, the more Good we can do. This is a win-win strategy.

 RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Live THE One Core Values: Embrace and embody our core values in all interactions, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Knowledge of Decoration Standards: Possess a thorough understanding of the Decoration Manual and the Common Sense Guide to Handmade Stores, ensuring adherence to our decoration standards.
  • Team Leadership: Train, coach, and develop the Decoration Team to maintain high decoration standards and ensure the "Look and Feel" of the store is consistently maintained.
  • Implementation of Changes: Plan, implement, and maintain all changes directed by THE Office Decoration Department, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to the Sales Team on decoration tasks, ensuring that all display areas are properly stocked and presented according to decoration standards.
  • Store Maintenance: Conduct daily floor walks with the Decoration Team to identify and rectify any issues, ensuring the store is always presentable.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Store and Sales Managers to identify opportunities, address concerns, and develop action plans to enhance the overall decoration of the store.
  • Communication: Attend morning huddles, share relevant information with the team, and ensure effective communication with THE Office Decoration Department.
  • Schedule Management: Schedule the Decoration Team to service the store, ensuring readiness for the weekend and flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Safety Measures: Implement and review health, safety, and security measures, ensuring compliance and reporting any concerns to management.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly reports to THE Office Decoration Manager and Store Manager, tracking progress and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Team Development: Set clear goals for team members, conduct appraisal reviews, and provide necessary training and support for development.
  • Leadership and Decision Making: Display effective leadership, actively participate in decision-making processes, and support store management with decoration tasks.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, fashion, and competition, taking a proactive approach to home fashion image and display.
  • Budget Management: Track, monitor, and control budgets and costs related to decoration activities.
  • Travel Requirement: Be willing to travel to other stores as required to support decoration initiatives.
  • Collaboration with Sales: Work with the Sales Manager to ensure alignment between decoration standards and sales principles.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architectural Engineering: Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design or Architectural Engineering, providing a solid foundation in design principles and technical knowledge relevant to the role.

Experience: 5-7 Years: Candidates should possess 5-7 years of relevant experience in interior design or architectural engineering, demonstrating a proven track record of success in designing and executing projects.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Candidates should be able to convey ideas clearly, listen actively, and communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.

Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is critical in interior design and architectural engineering to ensure accuracy and precision in project specifications, drawings, and execution. Candidates should demonstrate meticulousness and thoroughness in their work.

Ability to Work Fast and Multitask: The ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential in the fast-paced environment of interior design and architectural engineering. Candidates should demonstrate agility and effectiveness in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
