Head of Cabin Appearance

About the role As a Head of Cabin Appearance, you will lead Qatar Aviation Services (QAS), cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations within agreed standards and financial targets. Providing leadership and management for the provision of cabin appearance and QR technical operations; and any other airside service as directed by QAS management. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop strategic plans to improve cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations performance and position QAS as an innovative, best practice ground handling agent.
  • Lead the implementation of the cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations strategic plans.
  • Identifies the key strategic projects for the assigned area that will benefit our business, our people and our stakeholders.
  • Analyze the cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations, strengths, weakness, opportunity and threats.
  • Establish the cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations objectives and priorities to align with business objectives.
  • Plan the resource management through accurate and detailed forecasting in order to ensure delivery of smooth operational excellence.
  • Ensures that safety and security of the operations remain the highest priority.

  • Implements best practice resource management through accurate and detailed forecasting, planning and allocation in order to deliver operational excellence in cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance operations.
  • Responsible to review time to time and introduces best operational practice & processes, procedures and controls and communicates clearly and concisely standards, accountabilities and responsibilities to all direct & indirect reports.
  • Responsible for delivery of the assigned sections KPI’s through proper monitoring of the cabin appearance and QR technical aircraft appearance management and operational teams.
  • Lead the overall management of the cabin appearance and QR technical of Qatar Aviation Services to maintain the quality standards of ground handling Operations.
  • Introduces best practice in the operational process, procedures and controls which will result in maintaining excellent standards
  • Effectively liaise with other QAS departments, Customer Airlines, other QR Group business units and in order to maintain healthy working relationship and to achieve business objective.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications About you You will possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Expert - minimum 10 years of job-related experience required
  • Ability to makes strategic decisions based on facts and analysis (potential profit, cost-benefit, market conditions, support of Qatar Airways, return on investment).
  • Understands the value of high customer service delivered within a cost conscious culture.
  • Good knowledge of ground handling operations, objectives and functions
  • Must possess a strong, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, equality and respect.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clear, concise and consistent messages.
  • Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
