You will be working as Tender Specialist, will be part of Electrification Business Area for Services division based in Doha, Qatar. In this role you will be responsible to support the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers
  • Preparing / supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and sales organization directives
  • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from general market and the sales organization
  • Performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential cause, and recommending future actions in cooperation with sales team/local business obtaining better future results, defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating it to the sales organization
  • Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participating in the risk review assessment
  • Ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and integrity requirements are integrated and are up to date in their respective business process(es) and applications
  • Participating in kick-off meeting organized by the project team, providing technical support during technical meeting, product presentations, and negotiations and offers product/solution/service-related training

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering
  • 2 to 3 years of proven relevant experience
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory
