Translator - Training and Development

We are seeking a skilled Translator with expertise in Training and Development to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in translation, with a focus on training and development materials. As a Translator - Training and Development, you will be responsible for translating various training materials, including manuals, e-learning courses, presentations, and other learning resources.

Responsibilities:

  1. Translate training materials, including manuals, e-learning courses, presentations, and other learning resources, from the source language to the target language.
  2. Ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of translated materials, and make necessary revisions as needed.
  3. Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the content and context of the training materials.
  4. Adapt the tone, style, and terminology of translated materials to suit the target audience.
  5. Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
  6. Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  7. Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology and best practices.
  8. Collaborate with the Training and Development team to ensure that translated materials align with the organization's learning objectives and standards.
  9. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to enhance the quality and effectiveness of translated training materials.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in translation, with a focus on training and development materials.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  3. Proficiency in both the source and target languages, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of training and development concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in translated materials.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  8. Proficiency in translation software and other relevant tools.
  9. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
