About the role:

Oversees business critical data from industry specific Bl sources e.g.  MIDT, create business cases to attract new airlines to enter to HIA, increase number of seats offered by existing airlines and engage with Tour Operators for enhancing inbound tourism contributing to the to HIA's air services development strategy creation and execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute and manage implementation for Revenue enhancement strategy in the area of Air Services Development / Aviation Strategy to grow Aeronautical Revenues through the Route Development module and marketing related activities. Sets commercial and operational priorities in the route development process. Ensure implementation of these strategies and responsible for achieving set growth in the Aeronautical revenues.
  • Review and validate key business assumptions for the aero revenue budgeting process based on regular tracking of Aero KPls (For e.g. Revenue per pax, Revenue per Air Traffic Movement, Asset utilization time, etc.) and provide additional forward-looking inputs like anticipated new frequency from new and existing airlines, financial terms and OPEX.
  • Drives customer centricity and change by setting up a response timeline / request disposal of customers request.
  • Prepare and recommends business cases by identifying un-served / under-served routes from DOH based on market intelligence and Route development module.
  • Perform periodic analysis and update on competitiveness of HIA's Airport Charges in comparison to other airports and monitor profitability of existing routes by each airline periodically and share report to senior management.
  • Prepares and track performance of Aeronautical segment through agreed KPls using Bl tools and present findings and briefing to senior management in relation to current and proposed activities.
  • Manage relationships with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (Airline Affairs Dept.) and Qatar Airways Corporate Planning, Network Planning and Commercial teams and other HIA’s internal departments, in order to coordinate and achieve smooth on-boarding of new airlines at HIA.
  • Monitor and maintain Master record of Airline Incentives and key commercial terms offered to each airline for contract preparation and reconciliation purposes.
  • Responsible for preparation and release of Term sheet and Airline Service Agreement with due liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and endorse applicable standard rates and charges to tenants covering MATAR's property related contracts in QCAS.
  • Develop and update Aero Revenue Delegation of Authority (DoA) and ensure overall compliance of business activity within the scope of the DoA.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 6 years of job related experience.
  • Route Development/ network planning experience from airport or airline.
  • Airline/ Airport Commercial experience.
