Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs specific to the telecommunications industry.

2. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of telecom facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

3. Provide HSE training and education to employees, contractors, and subcontractors to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and best practices.

4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

5. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for telecom facilities, including coordination with local authorities and emergency services.

6. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, trends, and leading indicators, and provide regular reports and updates to management and stakeholders.

7. Stay informed about regulatory changes, emerging risks, and technological advancements in the telecom industry, and adapt HSE programs and practices accordingly.

8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into telecom infrastructure projects, including site development, installation, and maintenance activities.

Skills

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.

2. Professional certification in HSE management (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is advantageous.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the telecommunications sector.

4. Familiarity with HSE regulations, standards, and guidelines relevant to the telecom industry.

5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective control measures.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

7. Proficiency in HSE management systems, incident investigation techniques, and emergency response protocols.

8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices in HSE management.
