Project Manager

Responsibilities: To manage Medium / large scale projects from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. with experience in all Schneider ‘s equipment such as the low and medium voltage &Transformer &DC system &Basic Automation and prefabricated steel solution projects. This includes all stage/phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor & Control, and Closing) seeing that it is completed successfully, within the given deadline with consideration to the company strategy and customer satisfaction, and excellent management skills to coordinate with the entire team & the clients and stake holders with considering the following:

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Minimizes our exposure risk on project with Managing the scope and project budget.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Tracks & follow up and reports team activity on a weekly basis.
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables.
  • Analyses project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
- Handle Business Process Re-engineering and performance development. The Project Manager would report to the tender and execution Director, being accountable for achieving the projects objectives and will work closely with the Project Sponsor, Project Management Team to define the project objectives, create and execute the Project Management plan to achieve those objectives. - This will include but not limited to Development of the PMP including leading and executing the Change Control procedure, Risk and Opportunity Register, Quality Plan, Project Schedule, Project communication Plan, Stake holder register, Lessons learned, Project close out in align with SE CPP. - The Project Manager has an excellent working knowledge of the technical and organisational environments in which the deliverables are created and in which they will be used. - The Project Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and geographically disbursed project environment. - This position requires presence at customer sites and as such the candidate must be able to obtain necessary clearance and/or credentials to travel abroad and comply with customer requirements for executing work on their site. The types of credentials that might be required but are not limited to, passports, Homeland Security clearance, Visa’s background and credit checks, etc. The post will require extensive travel outside of home area to sites as required. Specific Tasks May Include: - Team resource allocation during the project life cycle starting from bidding through execution till project closing, managing, balancing teamwork load according to experience and skills. - Lead the Project team in developing and managing the Project Management plan within constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor. - Professional project management according to PMI principals. - Manage integrated solution project to meet the three main objectives. - Customer satisfaction and profitability. - Cost, schedule, and scope. - Control and monitor the project. - Risk management (plan risk management, identify risks, perform risk analysis and plan risk response). - Excellent Communication management between project stakeholders during project life cycle. - Negotiation skills during project life cycle with internal and external suppliers. - Manage project commitments regarding delivery, performance, quality, reliability and keep positive cash flow. - Project closing - Snags/Punch list cleared. - Site closing - Bank guarantees collected. - Ensures total alignment with Schneider business strategy. - Leads team to plan strategic project dimensions (Scope, Schedule, Budget, Quality, Procurement, Risk), and provide all deliverables. - Verification of projects deliverables, ensure proper projects closing, ensure customer satisfaction. - Leads team to achieve adherence to internal working procedure and policies. - Following the customer project process (CPP) within the team. - Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources and budget. - Negotiate with functional managers and/or organisational management to obtain adequate planned resources with appropriate skills to staff the project. - Effectively manage sub-contract packages within our project scope of works. - Continually identify and proactively manage project risk and opportunity issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure. - Update monthly project forecast (Sales, Margin, Risks, Payments, Billing) in line with finance department requirements. - Conducts all projects preview in highly performance. - Internal and external follow-up and coordination with the support division functions, suppliers, sub-contractors, customer, and all the stakeholders to deliver the project & achieve customer satisfaction. - Provide first level technical support to the sales team and the customers. - Technically and commercially responsible for the project during execution. - Follow up projects execution until delivered to the client and ending of the warranty period. - Managing all project activities from start up to final factory acceptance test (FAT), including fabrication, commissioning, and site services. Qualfications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on control systems. - Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project management of Solution Projects. Skills: - Experience in managing construction type solution projects. - Understanding the full project deliverables and transferring that knowledge into and maintaining a project programme/schedule using Microsoft Project. - Ability to interpret project specifications. - Effective communicator, leader and team builder. - Good commercial understanding and finance control and contract skills. - Experienced communicator and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders at a senior level. Highly Desirable: 5-10 years, specific experience in delivery of projects management. Very organized and methodical and can create clear plans and strategies and implement them. Demonstrate strong Leadership of project management teams using different leadership strategies and techniques. Why us?
