Field Operations Lead

We are looking for a Field Operations Lead for one of our clients with the following details: Start date: 01-APR-2024 End Date: 31-MAR-2026 Location: Doha / India / Oman Work status: Resident, Single ACTIVITIES HSEQ responsibilities

  • Ensure that HSE is given the highest priority
  • Promote HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through pro-active attitude (site tour management, HSEQ meetings, incentives actions) within Project team and Contractors
  • Ensure that the newly designed platforms conform to COMPANY standards
During Project phase (EPCIC/Site Commissioning)
  • Ensures adequacy of SOR in terms of Field Operations requirements
During project phases (FEED/detailed engineering/construction/HUC):
  • Through development ensures that the future logistics requirements are fulfilled by the project
  • Focal point for interface between MP-FOPS and Project for Operational alignment
  • Supervise or follow production related studies (if any, e.g., process, flow assurance)
  • Interface with the Commissioning Site Lead to define handover / trigger points for commissioning of (sub) systems.
  • Ensures adequate chemical injection plan for new facilities (when applicable)
  • Review the Safety Engineering deliverables and participates to reviews as required
  • Act as a single focal point representing FOPS and effectively contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, PRs, JRA discussions and close the generated actions effectively
  • MP FOPS focal for Operability/Maintainability studies and 3D model reviews
  • Leads lean initiatives to optimize CAPEX (as well as future OPEX) spend
  • Ensure adequacy of projects design basis with existing ALS Field bottlenecks or their coherence with identified debottlenecking actions.
  • Identify any integration actions to conduct prior handover of new facilities (PDMS, FOMS...)
  • Prepare adequate feedback (REX, Return of EXperience) at the end of each Project
  • Through lessons learnt ensure application of continuous improvements to future projects (not limited to the Operations discipline)
  • Leads and ensures that objectives for any offshore site surveys are achieved and provides feedback to Engineering team accordingly
  • MP FOPS focal point for SimOps development
  • Through lessons learnt leads the implementation of Change Proposal Notifications (CPN's) to ensure that these are applied into project design
  • Development of EPS (Early Production Schemes) to accelerate First Oil recovery from newly delivered wells.
  • Leads project reviews to ensure that power supply requirements are met to satisfy the Early Production Sheme (EPS)
  • Defines high-level incremental manning estimates (for on and offshore) complete with discipline breakdown as a result of RUYA project implementation
  • Provides input to preliminary RAM study and develops the incremental OPEX and Maintenance Complexity Index assessment)
  • Lead the development of future organizational structure (within MP/FOPS/OPS)
  • Provision of fit-for-purpose design by Contractor that is constructible and that fulfils operational requirements and has low maintenance and running costs.
  • Minimizing shortfalls during MP installation / integration scopes. Deconflicting activities in close coordination with IOP and OPS.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum education level: Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent degree in Engineering
  • Senior Operations profile with Field experience and previous experience gained in Offshore Operations (OTL minimum ), and Production Management positions (10+ years minimum). Knowledge of Al Shaheen Field is a plus.
  • Sound understanding of Production, Process and Flow Assurance Engineering, Reliability, Operability and Maintainability Engineering
  • Language: Fluent English,
  • Computer literate with good communication and transverse skills,
  • Experience in stakeholder/Shareholder communication and management
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills,
  • Available for frequent missions on and offshore (H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET training required)
