Sales & Events Executive

The Sales & Events Executive is responsible for generating business from the Qatar region. The Pro-Active Sales & Events Executive must maximize Sales Enquiries in alignment with the strategic goals of the sales department and the objectives of the Corinthia Yacht Club, KAI’s Songbird & Corinthia Golf Club.

Concludes Event contract, requests Invoice and meets the client at the beginning of the Event to ensure all is perfectly synchronized with operations. Ensures correct billing posting is processed by the Operations team and contacts client post event to ensure all went perfectly well.

Conducts an appropriate daily number of Pro-active sales activities (incl. but not limited to telesales, appointments, site inspections, trade shows, fam trips, client entertaining including evening entertaining).

Supports Membership Sales to the right caliber of potential members including corporate companies to generate leads for events at the Corinthia Yacht Club.

Conducts surveys of local/competitor market for designated territories and market sectors making recommendations, ensuring we remain competitive.

Maintains an awareness of competitor activity, competitor pricing, developments and best practices and shares information with the team accordingly.

Keeps up-to-date with the economic situation and monitors trends within the designated markets and industries and shares this information with the team accordingly. Takes a proactive approach to sales, anticipating potential opportunities and developing new opportunities. Sets realistic, measurable sales standards, objectives and goals (for sales activities and revenues) to be achieved and communicates to leaders and employees. 


Skills

Ideally Sales experience but experience in Operations (Front Office or Food & Beverage) is a must

Hotel experience

Proven experience in building effective relationships (with internal and external customers)

English & Preferably Arabic (fluent speaking and writing)

An advanced knowledge of designated markets with existing client relationships in these territories. 

An advanced knowledge in Middle Eastern culture would be useful Exceptional IT skills, with a preference for knowledge of Opera Sales and Catering. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills.

Full Clean Qatari Driving License

Minimum of 3 years relevant Pro-Active Sales experience within hospitality industry.
