Roles & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Maintain, inspect, and repair airfield lighting systems, including runway, taxiway, apron, and navigational lighting.
- Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific regulations.
- Coordinate with airfield operations and other maintenance disciplines to support mission requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance actions, inspections, and system status.
- Respond to emergency outages and mission-critical electrical issues as required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver s License
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.
Desired Candidate Profile
High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Master Electrician or Journeyman Electrician certification required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience working with high and/or medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the airfield lighting field, including runway, taxiway, and associated control systems.
- Demonstrated experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in an operational environment.
