About the role:

 

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs team as Aeropolitical & Corporate Affairs Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar.

 

As Aeropolitical & Corporate Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with Civil Aviation Authorities and/or international organizations. You will also be responsible for providing excellent administrative support and coordination with governments, embassies, civil aviation authorities and international organizations as well as ensuring adherence and compliance of Qatar Airways Flight Operations through national and international regulatory standards.

 

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Advise management on bilateral matters between assigned region and Qatar Airways management and their applicability in addressing short term operational needs as well as long term strategic plans.
  • Facilitate the applications of licenses and foreign operating permits on behalf of the Aeropolitical and regulatory affairs.
  • Follow up on adhoc approvals related to aircraft and route changes.
  • Manage all local efforts in the region under direction of Head Office directives such as obtaining necessary approvals from Civil Aviation Authorities.
  • Ensure a close coordination and beneficial rapport with local Civil Aviation Authorities and Airport Operators to obtain preferred slots to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Participate in delegations and forums as required to negotiate, lobby and engage directly with government and political or non-government stakeholders and key influencers to promote the airline Aeropolitical and Regulatory objectives.
  • Monitor and assess Aeropolitical climates of foreign countries and their national policies. Study and research the air transport policies, air transport regulatory developments and identify their impact on Qatar Airways operations or intended expansion.

Qualifications

About you

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of key processes of Civil Aviation.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with Government and International Organizations Liaison.
  • Ability to lead and work extensively with cross- functional teams, in a faced- paced working environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communications and presentations skills.
