Job Description

•Carry out visual inspection of paint, insulation, fire proofing of plant equipment, piping, tanks, structure etc to detect visible signs of paint damage, deterioration and corrosion. Establish the level of damage, degradation and requirement of repairs. • Establish the level of degradation of paint work and requirement of repainting. • Prepare comprehensive ITP for QA/QC of new paint and repair painting application. • carry out QA/QC compliance inspection in accordance with approved ITP • Witness painting procure qualification and painting applicator qualifications • Evaluate performance of paint and application procedures proposed by vendors. • Generate anomaly report, prepare necessary repair/rectification inspection work list for painting / coating repair. • Prepare detailed inspection and survey report of paint, insulation, fire proofing of plant equipment, piping, tanks, and structure. - 10 hrs /day, 6 days a week - 45-48 Month contract. - Role is on secondment basis to work at Client Facilities under end user supervision in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Offshore.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma /Degree in mechanical or metallurgy or coating engineering, Paint /Coating Inspectors shall have at least five (5) years of current work experience as a paint/coating inspector in a live plant or project environment and have a valid NACE /BGAS 2 Certification Inspectors shall be fully conversant with relevant codes and standards (ASTM / BS / NACE / SSPC) pertaining to surface preparation, application of paint and coating and the QA/QC thereof Must be skilled in use of CIMS ( Computerized Inspection Management System) and MS-Office software and must demonstrate good communication skill in English.
