General Manager- Facilities Management

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our facilities management team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of managing and overseeing facilities operations. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of our facilities department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the facilities department, in line with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Ensure best practice and improvement initiatives are effectively shared and communicated through all departments to achieve the needs of the business.
  3. Establish long-term and short-term strategic planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
  4. Oversees the Day-to-day operations and ensures strict compliance with quality, health and safety and environmental management systems, in line with current legislation and organization standard policy and procedures.
  5. Prepare and present reports to senior management, providing updates on the department's performance and making recommendations for improvement.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies or processes.
  7. Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, addressing any complaints or concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the facilities management industry.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing and overseeing facilities operations.
  4. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  6. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
  7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
