Head Pastry Chef

We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department, including creating and designing new pastry recipes, managing inventory, and ensuring the highest quality of pastries are delivered to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and design new pastry recipes, taking into consideration flavor profiles, presentation, and customer preferences
  2. Manage inventory, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are stocked and available
  3. Oversee the production and preparation of all pastries, ensuring they are of the highest quality and meet our standards
  4. Train and mentor pastry staff, providing guidance and support in pastry techniques and best practices
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and front of house, to ensure smooth operations and seamless service
  6. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry department
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new pastry techniques, incorporating them into our menu and offerings
  8. Manage costs and budget for the pastry department, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality
  9. Assist in creating and updating menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  2. Strong knowledge and understanding of pastry techniques and best practices
  3. Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design and create new pastry recipes
  4. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and mentor pastry staff
  5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory and costs
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with other departments
  8. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  9. Passion for pastry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality products
