Role Description The Multi Technician / MRT Technician / General Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing hotel systems and equipment, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building facilities, to ensure safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption to guests. The technician will document work performed, follow safety and regulatory standards, and assist in inspections and reporting. This position also supports emergency response for technical incidents and contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
Qualifications

• Possess strong technical skills in general maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Demonstrate practical experience with tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments used in facility maintenance and repair.
• Have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety guidelines, and maintenance schedules.
• Exhibit good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues, and other hotel departments; able to report issues and follow instructions accurately.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness while working, with attention to detail and compliance with hotel and local regulations.
• Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or commercial building maintenance is highly beneficial.
• Vocational or technical certification in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required, and to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, standing, and working in varied conditions.
