Parsons is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join our team! In this role, you will support engineering and construction teams by producing accurate technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring all work complies with project requirements and design standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing detailed and accurate drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software.
• Supporting engineering teams by converting conceptual designs and sketches into technical drawings.
• Reviewing and modifying existing drawings to reflect design changes and project updates.
• Coordinating with site teams to ensure that drawings align with actual site conditions and construction progress.
• Ensuring all drawings are prepared in accordance with client standards and project specifications.
• Maintaining organized drawing records and ensuring updated versions are readily available.
• Assisting in the preparation of construction documentation, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to produce accurate and coordinated technical drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma from an accredited institution.

10 years of demonstrable experience in drafting for construction projects.

At least 5 years of experience working on environment firm construction sites, with a strong understanding of site practices.

Proficient in using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design tools.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills and the ability to work with various design software applications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing preparation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset when faced with design or technical challenges.

Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a construction environment.
