Role Description The Host/Hostess role is a full-time, on-site position based at Central Inn Souq Waqif Hotel in Doha, Qatar. The Host/Hostess will warmly welcome guests, manage seating in the dining area, and ensure a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure. Daily tasks include greeting and escorting guests to tables, handling reservations and walk-in inquiries, answering telephone calls with professional phone etiquette, and providing accurate information about menus, promotions, and hotel services. The role involves coordinating with the service team to optimize table turnover, maintaining a clean and organized hostess station, and addressing guest requests or concerns promptly and courteously. The Host/Hostess is expected to maintain a polished appearance, follow hotel standards and safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse guests and colleagues. Candidates should possess Communication and Phone Etiquette skills to handle guest inquiries, provide information clearly, and manage calls professionally. Candidates should possess Reservations experience, including using reservation systems, organizing booking information, and coordinating seating plans. Candidates should possess a professional demeanor, reliable time management, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should possess basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale or reservation software; prior experience in hospitality or restaurants is an advantage. Candidates should possess proficiency in English; additional languages commonly used in Doha are considered beneficial.
