Job Details

Electrical Engineer responsible for reviewing technical specifications, schematics, and automation documents, preparing protection diagrams, validating transformer applications, and ensuring system integration. The role also involves vendor/tender evaluation, client collaboration, factory acceptance testing, and supporting sales/margin optimization through engineering efficiency.

Your role

  • Specification Study: Conduct detailed studies of project specifications to ensure alignment with client requirements and technical standards.
  • Control & Protection Schematic Review: Review control and protection schematic drawings from partner units to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • SAS Document Review: Analyze System Automation Schematics (SAS) documents, including Functional Design Specifications, SAS Architecture, GTP, and BOQ.
  • Substation Equipment Review: Evaluate primary and secondary substation switchgear/equipment schematics, focusing on coordination with protection schematics.
  • Protection SLD Preparation: Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for protection systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • CT/CVT/PT Application Checks: Perform application checks and calculations for Current Transformers (CT), Capacitor Voltage Transformers (CVT), and Potential Transformers (PT) with respect to protective relays and protection functions.
  • Cable Philosophy & Interconnection Schedules: Develop and review cable philosophies and interconnection schedules to ensure system integration.
  • Tender & Vendor Review: Review tender/vendor offers related to Control & Relay (C&R) panels to ensure technical compatibility and cost-efficiency.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients for the approval of engineering drawings and documents.
  • Sales & Margin Optimization: Achieve sales targets and improve gross margins through effective engineering optimization.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for electrical equipment such as transformers, current transformers, and voltage transformers to ensure product quality and performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in protection systems and substation design.

Proficient in reviewing control and protection schematics and technical documents.

Knowledge of SAS systems, CT, CVT, PT applications, and relay protection functions.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Experience with client discussions and document approvals.

Experience in factory acceptance testing and vendor offer evaluation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage deadlines effectively.
