Employment Type: Full-time, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Contract: Initial six-month renewable contract

Salary: QAR 5,000 to 6,000 per month

Start Date: As soon as possible

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage the full accounting function of a trading and e-commerce business in Qatar.

The company currently maintains its records in Excel and requires a detailed financial cleanup, reconstruction and transition to a suitable accounting system.

The selected candidate will personally handle historical cleanup, ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, cash-flow monitoring, audit preparation and accounting-software implementation.

Main Responsibilities

• Clean and reconstruct financial records from 2022 onward
• Keep the current year fully updated
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and payment gateways
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports
• Reconcile shareholder and related-party balances
• Handle inventory, cost of sales and multi-currency transactions
• Maintain cash-flow and shipment trackers
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with the external auditor
• Recommend and implement suitable accounting software
• Establish monthly closing procedures and management reporting

Required Experience

• Minimum seven years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong full-cycle accounting and reconciliation experience
• Experience preparing complete financial statements
• Experience cleaning incomplete or disorganized records
• Knowledge of IFRS and audit requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle or similar systems
• Experience in trading, retail, e-commerce or inventory is preferred
• Strong English communication skills
• Qatar experience is preferred

• Available for full-time work
• Able to work independently and manage the accounting function from start to finish
• Highly organized, analytical and deadline-focused
• Comfortable investigating discrepancies and missing records
• Able to explain financial results clearly to the business owner
• Signing the company’s confidentiality and data-protection agreement is mandatory before access to any company records
