We are working with a Major Maritime operator in Qatar to source a Project / Fabrication / Construction Manager - SPM Fabrication. As a Project/Fabrication/Construction Manager specializing in SPM Buoy Fabrication, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire fabrication process of SPM Buoys, from project initiation to final construction. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of fabrication projects while adhering to quality, safety, and schedule requirements specific to SPM Buoys. You will utilize your expertise in project management, fabrication techniques, and industry standards to deliver high-quality SPM Buoys on time and within budget.

Location: Doha - Shipyard - 6 Days
Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills Required
- Education & Professional Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering) is preferred., or a related field is preferred.
- Professional Experience: Previous experience in design engineering or drafting for Projects or similar offshore structures is advantageous.
- Market Knowledge:
- Strong technical drawing skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of drafting techniques, standards, and best practices relevant to Project design.
- Understanding of design principles and engineering concepts specific to Projects.
- Familiarity with naval architecture and marine engineering principles, particularly related to Project design, is preferred.
- Geographic Experience: GCC Market is Preferable
- Communications & Presentation Skills:
- Ability to interpret and translate design concepts into comprehensive and precise drawings for Projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams involved in Project projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in the context of Project design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions specific to Project design challenges.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution for SPM Buoy Fabrication:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for SPM Buoy fabrication projects, considering project scope, timelines, and resource requirements specific to SPM Buoys.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with SPM Buoy project objectives.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to optimize fabrication processes for SPM Buoys and ensure technical requirements are met.
- Monitor and control project budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and allocation of resources for SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Oversee the fabrication schedule for SPM Buoys, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures specific to SPM Buoy fabrication to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Supplier And Subcontractor Management For SPM Buoy Fabrication
- Identify and select suitable suppliers and subcontractors for SPM Buoy fabrication activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services specific to SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Review supplier/subcontractor proposals, contracts, and deliverables to ensure alignment with SPM Buoy project requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings and site visits with suppliers and subcontractors to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to SPM Buoy project specifications.
Fabrication Process And Resource Management For SPM Buoys
- Oversee the fabrication process for SPM Buoys, ensuring compliance with approved designs, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity in SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to develop and implement fabrication methodologies, workflows, and best practices specific to SPM Buoys.
- Monitor and track fabrication progress for SPM Buoys, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the fabrication process of SPM Buoys.
Construction And Installation Coordination For SPM Buoys
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure a smooth transition from fabrication to installation phase for SPM Buoys.
- Coordinate with installation teams to provide necessary support and ensure alignment with fabrication specifications of SPM Buoys.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify compliance with installation plans and industry standards specific to SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Resolve construction-related issues and provide technical guidance to overcome any challenges that may arise during installation of SPM Buoys.
Documentation And Reporting For SPM Buoy Fabrication
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including fabrication plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and quality control records specific to SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Prepare regular status reports and present project updates to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies related to SPM Buoy fabrication.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all documentation and reporting activities for SPM Buoy fabrication.
