Overview / Responsibilities
Wood has an opportunity for a
Company Driver to join our team in Qatar on a staff basis.
Objective:
Role will be responsible for assisting the company with all transport related duties, submitting or collecting required documents, parcels in respective locations. Transporting assigned employees in required cases to work locations as required.
Key Respoonsibilities:
- Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
- Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive
- Interact with customers in a professional manner
- Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
- Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
- Ensuring company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
- Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
- Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
- Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
- Working at night and on weekends if required as per company need.

Internal:
- All employees based in the country working full time or partime for the organization
External:
- Government offices
- All external offices as directed for completion of work
- Banks & Commercial Authorities
- Client’s access control offices
- Police & traffic departments
- Country immigration / sponsor offices
- Required ministries and labor offices as applicable
Level of Influence and Decision Making Authority
- Low – No Decision making authority
Skills / Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum Secondary school certificate
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Qatar driving experience
- Must own 4x4 car
- Applicants should have good communication skills
- Valid Country Driving License
- Attentive skills and know safe driving
- Ability to manage time and routes
- Work well independently
- Open and transparent communication
- Clean driving record.
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
- The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
- Effective communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
