Job Title: PTW System Administrator

Assignment Type: Contract-term (84 months)

Job Location: Onshore - Ras Laffan, Qatar / Doha, Qatar HQ

Work schedule: 8-10 hours per day, Sun-Thu

Accountabilities:

  • Administer Permit to Work (PTW) activities within Company operating facilities, including plant and non-plant assets, through process implementation, monitoring and ensuring system compliance and sharing lessons learned.
  • Operate in a complex technical environment, often under significant time pressure.
  • PTW systems and procedures must be continually monitored to support the incorporation of lessons learned, best industry practices, and changes to Company policy and international standards.
  • Major challenges of this role are, (1) working in a complex, multi-cultural, multi-national, multi-venture environment; (2) ensuring consistent application of PTW process across all operating assets.
  • Generate PTW and audit reports and assist with the tracking of corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in PTW enhancement projects and provide timely information and updates to Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to ensure the tool can be used effectively and provide support to end users on PTW-related issues.
  • Provide PTW related support across all assets during scheduled and unplanned plant shutdowns.
  • Support PTW procedure and related revisions to meet changing requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with PTW KPIs across all Company assets and submit reports to line management.
  • Monitor the ePTW system daily and provide system performance reports to line supervisor.
  • Support end users of the ePTW system, create user accounts and assign privileges and document user access management.
  • Monitor the ePTW system and coordinate system housekeeping to ensure its continued availability.
  • Provide 24/7 support for 4000+ ePTW system users from all assets, including during shutdowns.

Qualifications:

  • HND in Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry in roles related to PTW system management and implementation including 3 years in the role of administrator.
  • Expertise administering PTW systems and experience working with electronic permit to work (e-PTW) systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite applications).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
