Design and Engineering:

• Prepare CCTV, ACS system design concepts, device layouts, riser diagrams, schematic diagrams, and system architecture.

• Perform CCTV storage calculations, bandwidth calculations, camera coverage review, access control door schedule review, controller sizing, power / UPS considerations, and network requirements.

• Ensure designs are aligned with MOI-SSD requirements, client specifications and project requirements.

Pre-Sales and Tender Support:

• Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

• Prepare compliant technical and commercial proposals for CCTV, ACS, intrusion detection, intercom, structured cabling, networking, and related ELV systems.

• Prepare BOQs, cost sheets, supplier comparisons, compliance statements, technical clarifications, and value engineering options.

• Support the sales team during client meetings, technical discussions, and proposal presentations.

• Identify technical risks, commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and scope gaps before submission.

  
  

Costing and Estimation:

• Prepare accurate cost sheets with proper material, labor, installation, testing, commissioning, programming, documentation, and contingency considerations.

• Validate supplier quotations technically and commercially.

• Prepare comparison sheets and recommend cost-effective solutions.

• Maintain standard cost templates, BOQ formats, and estimation records.

• Take ownership of checking the technical and commercial accuracy of submitted BOQs, cost sheets, and proposal documents before internal approval.

Technical Documentation:

• Prepare technical submittals, material compliance sheets, method statements, system descriptions, and handover-related technical documents when required.

• Prepare responses to consultant comments, client clarifications, RFIs, and technical queries.

Coordination and Support:

• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project teams and management.

• Support project handover by explaining scope, design basis, cost assumptions, and exclusions.

• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during project execution when related to proposed design or system architecture.

• Keep updated with market solutions, vendor products, pricing trends, and competitor offerings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of ELV/security systems experience, preferably in Qatar.

• Strong hands-on experience ELV/security system design and estimation capability.

• Strong understanding of MOI-SSD requirements and approval processes.

• Excellent Excel skills.

• Strong knowledge of VMS, NVR/server-storage sizing, camera selection, ACS controllers, readers, structured cabling design and networks.

• Ability to read and interpret tender drawings, specifications, IFC drawings, and consultant requirements.

• Strong AutoCAD / Visio / MS Office skills.

• Good communication skills for client meetings, consultant clarifications, and sales support.

• Ability to prepare clear technical proposals, compliance statements, and value-engineered alternatives.

• Experience with major CCTV / ACS brands such as Axis, Hikvision, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec, Lenel, Honeywell.

  
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• UPDA/MMUP registered engineer

• Experience with MOI DSA / DIA / inspection processes

• Certifications: Milestone/Genetec, Avigilon ACC, HikCentral and Lenel ACS

• Structured cabling design certification is a plus

• Networking certifications: CCNA

• Storage/server knowledge: Dell, HPE, RAID/storage sizing, VMS storage calculation
