Minimum Qualifications:Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, university or college acceptable to Kahramaa. Very well versed related to different types MV switchgears, cables, Power Transformers, Earthing/Auxiliary transformers etc.
Minimum Experience:A total of at least 15 years experience in an Electrical Power Utility or Company as an Electrical Engineer in Transmission Substation. Minimum 8 to 10 Years experience in the field of Partial Discharge (PD) measurement especially in TEV, Ultrasonic, Cable PD(HFCT), VLF, TDR, CVD measurement & localization Sound technical knowledge of Transmission Substations equipment. Sound Knowledge of different types PD activity such as Internal discharge/Voids, Surface discharge/Tracking, Floating/Arcing/loose components, Cable core insulation, Cable sealing end, and cable compound due to the presence of moisture, ageing or reasons whatsoever Sound Knowledge of online continuous monitoring system and diagnosis. Sound knowledge of Condition Monitoring techniques especially in the field of PD measurement Should be able to independently evaluate the health of Transmission Substation equipment and provide recommendation. Conversant with all aspects of safety with high voltage installations. Sound knowledge of International standards. Sound Knowledge of PD localization and diagnosis.
