We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager to join a reputable main contractor in Qatar. The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing the contractual aspects of large scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance, protecting the company’s interests, and driving project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee all contractual matters across major infrastructure projects. Lead contract administration, including preparation, negotiation, and management of claims, variations, and EOT submissions. Ensure compliance with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract. Support project teams in managing risks and contractual obligations. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve disputes and maintain strong relationships. Provide strategic commercial advice to senior management and project directors. Mentor and guide commercial and contract teams across the business.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years’ experience in commercial/contracts management, with at least 10 years in the Middle East. Proven track record working with main contractors on large scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.). Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and regional legal/commercial practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Professional membership (MRICS/MCIArb or equivalent) highly desirable.
