Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems, with a strong focus on Siemens applications. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate versatility in working with various platforms, including Schneider Electric, SCADA systems, Johnson Controls, and other industrial automation technologies. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can optimize processes, ensure system reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission automation systems using Siemens platforms (e.g., SIMATIC S7, TIA Portal, PCS 7) to meet project specifications.
- Integrate and troubleshoot systems across multiple automation platforms, including Schneider Electric (e.g., EcoStruxure, Modicon), SCADA (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition), and Johnson Controls.
- Develop and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications for efficient process control.
- Perform system upgrades, modifications, and optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives for system implementation.
- Conduct testing, validation, and commissioning of automation systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end-users and maintenance teams.
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all automation projects adhere to safety regulations, cybersecurity protocols, and quality standards.
Skills
- Certification in Siemens automation systems (e.g., Siemens Certified Programmer) or similar credentials.
- Experience with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and batch process control.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in industrial automation.
- Project management experience or familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.

Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC) and best practices in automation.
