We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-5 years of experience in accounting roles. As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of our organization. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
3. Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
4. Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
5. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
7. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
8. Provide support during external audits.
9. Assist with tax preparation and filing.
10. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
11. Stay up to date with accounting principles and regulations.

Skills

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. 1-5 years of experience in accounting roles.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
4. Experience with accounting software, such as Pioneer or QuickBooks.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
