Job Summary

Writes effective sales and marketing copy for all types of marketing materials both online and offline. Responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for articles, advertisements, publications, and pamphlets. Works closely with the creative teams to produce relevant copy for brochures, sales materials and products. Researches the subject matter to ensure the quality and accuracy of the copy.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Writes clear, creative and compelling copy for various mediums, such as blog posts, design copy, newsletters and the like.
  • Conducts thorough research and interviews if necessary.
  • Works with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns

 

Job Responsibilities 2

  1. Understands the message the client is seeking to express and translating this into written content
  2. Proposes copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
  3. Writes clear, creative and attractive copy with a distinct voice.
  4. Brainstorms visual and copy ideas with other members of the marketing team.
  5. Generates creative ideas to build innovative campaigns.
  6. Interprets copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  7. Collaborates with designers, PR and other professionals on large and small scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
  8. Produces error free content that adheres to the company’s style guideline
  9. Edits and proofreads copy as needed and uses SEO principles to maximize copy's reach.
  10. Sources images and other content to be used together with written materials.
  11. Updates digital media with timely and relevant content.
  12. Writes and produces PR articles as needed, as well as copywriting in Social Media Channels


Skills

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience as copywriter or related role

• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation

• Adept in the structure and content, including spelling, rules of composition, grammar and advanced reading comprehension

• Experience with SEO with strong research skills

• Solid understanding of online copywriting and how it impacts on search engine optimization

• Familiarity with Online Analytics platforms, experience in PR and Advertising industries

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
