Head of Quality EPC1 – Night Shift
- Job Purpose:The NFE Onshore Head of Quality EPC-1 Night Shift is responsible to ensure the effective implementation of the Project Quality program during Construction phase on site at Ras Laffan. The Head of Quality Night shift maintains a close working relationship with the Contractor’s quality team and ensure quality requirements are verified during night shift activities for the NFXP NFE Onshore EPC-1 project.
- Reports to the Quality Division Manager EPC-1 with functional interface with Construction and Safety night shift personnel.
- The position will mobilize to directly to Field Operating Centre (FOC) in Ras Laffan, Qatar.
- Provides leadership to site Quality Lead and Site Inspection Services (SIS) Personnel.
- Key Job Accountabilities:Provides input to the Construction Surveillance Programs as designated by the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Monitors and provides effective oversight of CONTRACTOR and SUB-CONCTRACTOR Construction quality programs and procedures
- Stewards the night shift construction quality program and direct assignment of COMPANY personnel to priority work fronts.
- Coordinates and participates in Construction Quality Audits and conducts verification of follow-up activities.
- Reviews and provides comments to CONTRACTOR’s Quality personnel assigned to the project
- Ensures appropriate COMPANY personnel as deployed to conduct Surveillance, Witness, and Inspection of the work as per the project approved Inspection and Test Plans.
- Monitors and reviews project quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to verify the quality of the work on a progressive basis.
- Stewards the resolution of quality issues and elevates to PQM as required.
- Applies extensive hands-on, industry-based experience & knowledge to promote quality requirements and troubleshoot emergent quality issues.
- Promotes and monitors key processes such as Deficiency Reporting (DR), Specification Deviation Request (SDR), Non-conformance (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
- Requires the ability to effectively communicate quality at project management and functional level.
- Collaborative management attributes are essential across all levels of the organization with an ability to establish & maintain genuine & responsive relationships
- Demonstrates the high level of integrity in dealing with all parties and communicates concisely in written and verbal context; prepares high quality written reports.
- Ensures COMPANY Lessons Learned are implemented and verified
Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
15 years’ experience with Quality Management Programs and Quality Control activities for execution of mega projects in the Oil & Gas Construction Industry.
Preferred:
Associates Engineering or Engineering degree Metallurgical, Welding, Mechanical or Science
Knowledge and Key Skills:
- Experience with multi-national CONTRACTOR & SUBCONTRACTOR, in particular those involved in the construction of LNG Plants and facilities.
- Strong coordination skills, extensive quality experience in responsible roles on major oil & gas engineering & construction projects
- Experienced in facilitating & coordinating efforts to troubleshoot project issues.
- Experience with conducting audits and assessments of work processes and procedures.
- Experience with LNG plant construction including pneumatic testing, preservation procedures and flange management.
Technical and Business Skills:
- A thorough knowledge of codes and standards in relation to site construction and working within a structured Quality Management System
- Must be capable of positive decision-making & demonstrating a high level of judgement & responsibility
