JOB SUMMARY
The Division Chief - Endocrinology reporting to the Executive Chair - Medicine provides clinical, education, research and executive management leadership in Endocrinology. The Division Chief is a clinical and managerial leader working with the Sidra executive team to develop and deliver strategy and business plans and is accountable for resources and performance in Endocrinology and integrates research and education priorities into a program of excellent clinical service delivery, specialized outpatient clinical services including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for complex and complicated procedures, consultations and case management, and other associated clinical and academic activites. The Division Chief continues with personal clinical education and research activities albeit in a reduced and modified manner, and will have a full-time appointment to Weill Cornell Medical College – Qatar and hold the position of Associate Professor or Professor of Pediatrics - Endocrinology.

يقدم رئيس قسم - الغدد الصماء، الذي يرفع تقاريره إلى رئيس قطاع الطب، القيادة السريرية والتعليمية والبحثية والإدارية التنفيذية في مجال الغدد الصماء. ويعد رئيس القسم قائداً سريرياً وإدارياً يعمل مع الفريق التنفيذي في سدرة لتطوير وتنفيذ الاستراتيجية وخطط العمل، وهو مسؤول عن الموارد والأداء في قسم الغدد الصماء، كما يدمج أولويات البحث والتعليم في برنامج لتقديم خدمات سريرية متميزة، وخدمات العيادات الخارجية التخصصية بما في ذلك الإجراءات التشخيصية والعلاجية للحالات المعقدة والمركبة، والاستشارات وإدارة الحالات، وغيرها من الأنشطة السريرية والأكاديمية ذات الصلة. ويواصل رئيس القسم أنشطته التعليمية السريرية والبحثية الشخصية ولكن بشكل مخفض ومعدل، وسيحصل على تعيين بدوام كامل في كلية وايل كورنيل للطب – قطر ويشغل منصب أستاذ مشارك أو أستاذ طب الأطفال - الغدد الصماء.
