We are looking for product lead, to own what ships, and the standard it ships at. It is an execution and quality product role. You will own the single authoritative answer to “what are we building,” translate it into specifications a developer or designer can act on, and hold the line on whether a delivery actually matches what was asked for. You will have the authority to say no. If you like writing clear acceptance criteria, running a tight release gate, and being the person who catches the thing everyone else missed, this role is built for you. What you will own Specification and acceptance - Maintain one canonical product specification, the single source of truth for what the product is, across platform, robot and content. Write clear acceptance criteria for every feature, before work starts. - Personally accept or reject each delivery against those criteria, from engineers, designers and external content contractors alike. - Own the definition of done and the release gate, including the authority to block a release that does not meet it. Quality: Commission and manage a contract QA engineer to build and maintain the automated test suite for the scenario engine. Own the defect process: reproduce, prioritise, verify the fix. Own the automated asset-verification pipeline that checks every delivered media file against its written specification before it can ship. Delivery:Maintain the roadmap and release plan against the grant’s milestone commitments. Coordinate across engineering, design, learning and external contractors.prioritize on educational value, child safety, milestone obligations and technical feasibility. Run the weekly cycle and clear blockers. Compliance & Child safety:Ensure no safeguarding-related copy or flow reaches a child without sign-off from a qualified professional. Own the relationship with that professional and keep the consent, handover and data export flows correct as the product changes.
