Role Summary The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of Nozomi Doha s operations. This includes maintaining brand standards across culinary presentation and entertainment, driving revenue, optimizing operational profitability, managing high-profile guest relations, and cultivating a high-performing team in a luxury hospitality setting. The Candidate must have a European Nationality 1. Operations & Brand Excellence Oversee day-to-day front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations to guarantee a seamless, high-energy guest experience. Ensure the distinct Nozomi lifestyle concept combining elevated Japanese dining, curated music, and dynamic atmosphere is delivered consistently. Enforce strict quality control standards across food preparation, beverage programs, teppanyaki counters, and service delivery. 2. Financial Management & Growth Drive venue profitability by managing P&L statements, operational budgets, revenue forecasting, and cost controls (Labor & COGS). Identify commercial opportunities, guest spending patterns, and local market trends in Doha to maximize seat turnover and average spend per guest. Collaborate with corporate leadership and marketing teams to execute brand campaigns, private dining promotions, and event bookings. 3. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse international team of department heads, floor managers, culinary personnel, and service staff. Direct recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing hospitality training programs tailored to ultra-luxury standards. Foster an inclusive, high-accountability workplace culture aligned with international hospitality practices. 4. Guest Experience & VIP Relations Act as the primary ambassador for Nozomi Doha, building relationships with regulars, VIP guests, local dignitaries, and international travelers. Monitor guest feedback across all touchpoints, resolving operational bottlenecks or service issues promptly. Ensure strict adherence to local Qatari labor laws, food safety standards (HACCP), and licensing regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum 5 7 years in senior management roles within high-volume, luxury lifestyle dining, upscale Japanese concept, or premium entertainment venues. Middle East / GCC experience is strongly preferred. Culinary & Service Expertise: Deep understanding of contemporary Japanese cuisine, premium beverage/lounge operations, and lifestyle dining concepts. Financial Acumen: Strong background in P&L management, budgeting, cost analysis, and sales strategy execution. Leadership: Proven ability to manage large, multicultural teams in a fast-paced environment. Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
