The Four Seasons Resort and Residences at the Pearl-Qatar is looking for
Staff Housing - Engineering Supervisor to join our talented pre-opening team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company! The Engineer Supervisor interacts closely with the Engineering team and Staff Housing Team to coordinate and complete of daily tasks, onboarding and training of new Engineering team’s members, and ongoing team development. Along with completion of regular maintenance, this role must acts as a coach, mentor and leader for newly hired team members. Also, must display leadership qualities, will have the respect and trust of the team at large, and will be key in assisting with some of the administrative pieces to the daily operation on the Engineering Dept.
Essential Functions
Supervises professional and technical staff in the Staff Housing. This position is responsible in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings of the hotel facilities and staff housing complex.
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. Ensures piping complies with electrical codes. Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
- Respond to resident’s and guests calls regarding maintenance of and general share equipment in units and or public area in a timely manner.
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
- Clean all stations in engineering areas, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
- Assist in the Installation or relocation of any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
- Assist with energy conservation programs in the Building.
- Assist in sourcing contractors for the installation and repair of electrical and mechanical systems associated with the Residents and Building.
- Ability to work all shifts and weekends, as needs may arise.
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- Trade certifications or equivalent experience
- Experience required by position is from 2 to 4 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.
- General knowledge of buildings systems, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-Job or through a series of professional certifications.
- Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
- Ability to read and speak and write English.
