Role Objective:

The Data Architect will work closely with the stakeholders in development of an end-to-end architecture for Big Data Analytics solutions for the Bank, driving data analytics and Machine Learning application, in line with broader enterprise-wide strategies. The job holder will develop data models, establish data architecture principles, and devise Data Integration, Data Warehousing and Reporting and unified view of data, its data linage and provenance, data catalogue across all data assets and optimize data delivery across distributed applications in both on premise and cloud deployment model.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the DS&IT functions and respective Business Units in ascertaining the key business drivers, opportunities, processes, challenges/risks that will have impact on the data systems/business architecture.
• Support business and liaise with external data service providers to build scenarios through data driven approach to develop scalable data architecture.
• Develop data architecture models, including roadmap and integrations, data warehouse efficiency, in line with the business needs / customer strategies.
• Support the Team lead Data operations in defining standards, process, policies, and SLAs related to Enterprise Data Architecture
• Ensure maintenance and enhancement of Enterprise Data Architecture repository and models.
• Develop data architecture documents and templates for change initiatives and support in solution architects.
• Work closely with the respective stakeholders in development of measurement systems and analyze alignment/compliance, against the evaluation indicators (including alignment, scalability alignment etc.), for quality improvement.
• Collaborate with the respective stakeholder in system integration, including streamlining of business process and data sources within the tech ecosystem, identifying/mitigating potential challenges.
• Analyze and suggest Enterprise Data Architecture opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through based on latest industry and technology trends.
• Support in assessment of current capabilities, identify gaps and define action items/roadmaps for Data architecture in terms of target state deliverables within the business and technology eco-systems.
• Continually assess and identify risks in line with the Bank’s risk management approach, ensuring they are mitigated and accounted for work within the data governance program
• Analyze and report on Data risks and maintain the Data Control Risk Register.
• Ensuring that all units within DS & IT Department adhere to the Data Governance standards / regulatory requirements
• Contribute towards and support in implementation of Data Governance programs, Policy and procedures based on ISO and other international standards and best practices as well as Bank’s policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity.
• Develop and enforce data quality metric Define processes and its controls and conduct awareness/training to team on respective processes.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or any other related technical discipline.
• Master’s degree in Management/ Technology any other related discipline will be an added advantage.
• 10-15 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
• Previous experience in Enterprise Data Architecture
• Experience in data transformation projects

Certifications:

• CDPSE, CDMP or equivalent data architecture certification is mandatory
